Hatters Host Lipscomb in Rare Sunday Matinee

Stetson men's basketball welcomes current ASUN Conference co-leader Lipscomb to the Edmunds Center on Sunday for a 4 p.m. tip off. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Hatters (4-17 overall, 0-6 ASUN) are hoping Sunday will be the day they secure their first conference victory of the season. The task will be a tall one, however, as the defending champion and league favorites Bisons (15-4, 6-0) are undefeated in conference play.

Stetson suffered an 82-59 home loss to NJIT on Thursday. Christiaan Jones was the only Hatter to score in double figures, finishing with 10 points. Stetson shot just 39 percent from the field for the game, while the Highlanders burned the nets at a 60-percent clip, including 72 percent in the second half.

Lipscomb was an 89-81 winner at home over FGCU on Thursday. ASUN leading scorer Garrison Matthews was impressive for the Bisons, tossing in 31 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Matthews averages 19.2 points per game for the season.
