Hatters Visit UNF Sunday for Crucial ASUN Match

Stetson men's soccer faces an ASUN Conference showdown with North Florida, 6 p.m., Sunday, in Jacksonville.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, but the threat of inclement weather throughout the day on Saturday forced the change to Sunday.

The conference-leading Hatters (7-5-2 overall, 3-0-1 ASUN) can take one step closer to their second regular-season title in three seasons with a win over the Ospreys (3-5-2, 2-1-1). Stetson has already clinched a spot in the ASUN Tournament, and the Hatters can secure at least the number two seed and a home game in the semifinals with a win on Saturday.

A Stetson win on Saturday, coupled with an FGCU loss at Liberty, will give the Hatters at least a share of the conference title.

Stetson enters the game following Wednesday's scoreless draw with Florida Atlantic. Freshman goalkeeper Lute Lillo-Portero and the Stetson defense registered the Hatters' fifth shutout of the season.

UNF enters play on the heels of consecutive losses to Mercer (2-0) and NJIT (2-0). The Ospreys have scored just seven goals on the season but have allowed only three scores in conference play.
