Renault Reaches Finals at Bedford Cup

Stetson's Lucie Renault reached the finals of her flight as the Hatters continued play at the Bedford Cup, Saturday in Fort Myers, Fla.
 
Playing as the number two seed in the C Flight, Renault easily dispatched FGCU's Ida Ferding 6-3, 6-2 to reach Sunday's final. Renault will face top seeded Francisca Vergara of FIU in the finals.
 
In doubles play, the tandem of sophomore Olivia Talbert and junior Megan Horwitz (pictured at right) captured the B Flight consolation championship with a 6-4 win over a team from FAU.20557 Renault and playing partner Danel Ashirova won twice on Saturday to reach the A Flight consolation finals, which will also be contested on Sunday.
 
The Bedford Cup concludes play on Sunday.
