Stetson never led by more than three points in the second half, and its last lead was a 57-56 advantage with 7:48 to play.

The Bulldogs took control of the game for good when a Lavar Batts layup with 6:43 made it 61-59.

Stetson had its chances but the Hatters couldn't convert at the free throw line, at one point missing five straight attempts during a comeback attempt in the game's final five minutes.

Asheville pushed its advantage to as much as 73-65 in the final minute.

Perry was 9 of 12 from the field, including 4 of 6 from 3-point range, and 7 of 10 from the line. He added 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Mahamadou Diawara added 18 points, while Kenny Aninye added 13 on 5 of 7 shooting.
