Hatters Host Kennesaw State on Saturday

Stetson men's basketball hosts Kennesaw State, 4 p.m., Saturday at Edmunds Center. The game can be seen live on ESPN+.
 
The Hatters (4-19 overall, 0-8 ASUN) are looking to snap a losing streak which reached eight games on Wednesday with a 72-57 loss at Jacksonville. Stetson's last win came on Jan. 2 against Edward Waters.
 
Sophomores Christiaan Jones (10.6) and Abayomi Iyiola (10.2) lead the Hatters in scoring as Stetson enters the final month of the ASUN season.
 
Kennesaw State (4-18, 1-6) tasted its first conference victory of the season earlier this week when they defeated North Florida, 81-64. Four players scored in double figures for the Owls.
 
Junior guard Tyler Hooker ranks second in the ASUN in scoring with 19.0 points per game. The Owls as a team, however, average an ASUN-worst 62 points per game

•Stetson continues ASUN Conference play on Saturday when the Hatters host Kennesaw State for what could prove to be a crucial game to the postseason fortunes of both teams
•The ASUN is a 9-team league but only 8 teams will qualify for the ASUN Tournament. Stetson and Kennesaw State currently occupy the bottom two spots in the conference standings.
•Kennesaw State leads the all-time series 14-12. Stetson won the last meeting, taking an 86-74 decision in DeLand on Feb. 17, 2018.
•Former Hatter Drew Romich (2015-16) is a member of the Owls but is sitting out the season after transferring from Longwood
•Stetson has made at least one 3-point field goal in each of the last 447 games after making 8 against Jacksonville on Wednesday
•Stetson's last game without a trey was vs. Colorado State on Dec. 28, 2004
•The Hatters currently lead the ASUN Conference in offensive rebounds per game (12.0)
