Hatters Fall 4-1 To Florida State

Thomas and Dunn Complete Perfect Week

Tallahassee, Fla. -- In battle of two Top 10 beach programs, No. 3 Florida State outlasted No. 10 Stetson 4-1 Saturday afternoon at the Seminole Beach Blast.

The loss snapped the Hatters' nine-match win streak. Stetson is now 14-4 on the season.

Darby Dunn and Sammee Thomas notched the Hatters' lone point at the 2 seed. After the Hatter duo won the opening set 21-12, FSU's Brooke Kuhlman and Morgan Chacon won the second frame 23-21. In the third set, Dunn and Thomas took control early and cruised to a 15-8 win. The victory completed a perfect 6-0 week for the Hatters' 2 seed.

FSU improved to 14-4.

Stetson will begin ASUN play with a double dual at FGCU on Wednesday.
