Darby Dunn wins her 75th career match

Macon, Ga. -- Stetson extended its conference winning streak to 30 in a row with a 5-0 sweep over Jacksonville and a 4-1 victory over UNF Friday afternoon at Mercer University's Bear Beach.

The 10th-ranked Hatters (19-8) won 19 of 21 sets on the day and improved to 4-0 in conference play.

Stetson's 2 seed of Darby Dunn and Sammee Thomas were one of four pairs to capture a pair of victories Friday.  Dunn became the fourth Hatter in school history to reach the 75-win mark, while Thomas won her 50th match as a Hatter.  The pair have won 14 of their last 15 duals.

At the 1 seed, Sunniva Helland-Hansen and Carly Perales won 21-11, 21-14 against JU and 21-18, 21-17 against UNF.  Helland-Hansen notched a milestone win of her own as she tallied her 70th career victory.

Ana Costa and Rachel Noble went 2-0 at the 3 seed.  With 86 career wins, Noble will have a chance to tie the all-time school record on Saturday.  Kristin Lind holds the Hatter record with 88 dual match victories.

At the 5 seed, Quinci Birker and Rebecca Ingram nailed down a 21-11, 21-8 win over JU and a 21-14, 21-13 win over UNF.

Alexa Richardson and Julie Varga defeated JU 2-0 and took UNF's 4 seed to three sets before eventually falling 16-14 in the tiebreaker.

Since the start of the 2017 season, the Hatters have won 24 consecutive regular season ASUN matches and all six postseason duals.  Stetson has also won 55 straight matches against unranked opponents.

The Hatters will play the same two opponents in reverse order on Saturday.
