Hatters Face Tough Weekend Road Trip

Stetson men's soccer takes to the road for a pair of games this weekend when the Hatters visit Winthrop, 7 p.m., Friday, and USC Upstate, 2 p.m., Sunday. Both games can be seen on ESPN+.
 
The Hatters (2-2) will be looking to bounce back after a frustrating weekend at home when Stetson suffered nearly identical 2-0 losses to UTRGV and Penn State at the Athletic Training Center.

About the Game: Stetson and Winthrop meet for the seventh time on Friday, though this will be the first meeting since 2013 … Stetson is 1-4-1 all-time against Winthrop … in their last meeting, Winthrop earned a 5-2 decision on Sept. 15, 2013 in Macon, Ga. … the Hatters haven't been shutout in three straight games since 2015 … the Eagles lost twice last weekend, to Wofford (1-0) and Furman (3-0).

About the Game: The Hatters renew their rivalry with a former ASUN Conference foe when they visit Upstate … the Spartans were member of the ASUN from 2007 to 2017 and now compete in the Big South Conference … Stetson is 8-1-3 all-time against the Spartans … Stetson took a 2-0 decision over Upstate last season in DeLand.
