Hatters Host a Pair This Weekend

Stetson women's soccer returns home for a pair of games this weekend as the Hatters host Embry-Riddle, 7 p.m., Thursday, and Illinois State, 11 a.m., Sunday. Both games are being played at the Athletic Training Center.
 
Stetson (2-5) lost twice last week, falling to both Miami ad UCF on the road. This week's games are the final non-conference affairs before ASUN Conference play begins next week.

About the Game: This is the first meeting between Stetson and ERAU since 2017 … Stetson was a 1-0 winner in that contest … the Hatters lead the all-time series 9-1-1 … as an NCAA Division II institution, the Eagles are allowed to count Thursday's game as an exhibition contest … Embry-Riddle has scored nine goals in four games this season, with Julia Olsson leading with three … Stetson and ERAU first met in 1999.

About the Game: This will be the first meeting between the Redbirds and Hatters … Illinois State is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference … the Redbirds are playing at North Florida on Friday … Illinois State was picked to finish third in The Valley preseason poll … while ISU doesn't have any players with Florida ties, the Hatters boast one player – Franke Frericks (Cary) – from Illinois … Stetson head coach Chris Bergmann also spent six years as the head coach at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill.
