Tampa, Fla. -- Stetson junior libero Chelcie Spence recorded her 1000th career dig, but the Hatters fell 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-19) to USF Saturday night at the USF Classic.

Spence picked up a season-high 22 digs and became the 12th player in school history to reach the 1000-dig mark.  She also moved into the top 10 all-time dig leaders in school history (1019 digs), and she was named to the all-tournament team.

As for the match, the Hatters managed just 33 kills and hit .144 as a team.  Elena Djokovic led the way with nine kills and a .273 attack percentage.  Eva Deisa reached double-digit digs (13) for the ninth time this season.

Jac'cara Walker led USF with 11 kills and 12 digs.  The Bulls hit .258 as a team and collected seven blocks.  Stetson was held without a set win for the first time this season.

The Hatters will begin ASUN play Tuesday night at Jacksonville.  The team's home opener will be Friday night vs. Lipscomb.
