Hatters Host North Alabama as ASUN Tournament Play Begins Tuesday

Stetson men's basketball opens ASUN Tournament play when the No. 4 seed Hatters host No. 5 seed North Alabama, 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Edmunds Center.

Tuesday's game will mark the first home ASUN Tournament game for Stetson since the conference adopted the current format of higher-seeded teams serving as hosts seven years ago. The Hatters last played an ASUN Tournament game at Edmunds Center in 1996 when Stetson served as the overall tournament host.

The Hatters (15-16) swept the Lions (13-17) during the regular season, taking a 54-49 decision on Jan. 16 in Florence, Ala., and a 75-64 win on Feb. 13 in DeLand.

Stetson continues to be led by freshman duo Rob Perry and Mahamadou Diawara, whom together averaged 27.9 points per game.

Christian Agnew leads the Lions in scoring at 12.9 points per game.

The winner of Tuesday's game will likely have to wait until Tuesday's other quarterfinal games are complete before finding out their next opponent. The ASUN will reseed the tournament field for the semifinals.

Tickets are available by calling the Stetson Ticket Office at (386) 738-HATS or by visiting GoHatters.com/tix. Prices begin at $10 and all Stetson students will be admitted free.
