Hatters Sweep Bellarmine To Cap Crossover Weekend

Elena Djokovic surpasses 300 kills on the season

Jacksonville, Fla. -- Elena Djokovic recorded 14 kills and Yamelis Mojica added 12 more as Stetson cruised to a 3-0 victory (25-18, 25-14, 25-23) over Bellarmine Sunday morning at UNF Arena.

The Hatters (11-12, 6-5 ASUN) earned their sixth sweep of the season and completed ASUN crossover weekend with a 2-1 mark.

Stetson led nearly wire-to-wire on Sunday, trailing only 1-0 at the start of each of the first two sets.  Bellarmine (6-17, 2-9 ASUN) forced a 23-23 tie late in the third set before the Hatters sealed the win.

Djokovic's 14 kills Sunday included her 300th of the season and the 750th of her career.  She has reached double figures in kills 20 times this season.  Mojica also reached double figures, slamming down a dozen kills and hitting a team-high .423.  She added a pair of blocks.  Kaylee Oscarson collected nine kills while hitting .368, and Anabelle Standish delivered eight kills, 10 digs and two blocks.

Setter Nyah Molina notched her 17th double-double of the season, registering 39 assists and 14 digs.  She now has seven double-doubles in a row.  Alejandra Perez picked up 10 digs while Kennedy Muldrow tallied three blocks.

Stetson outhit Bellarmine .302 to .154.  The Hatters hit .371 in the first set, .350 in the second, and .216 in the third.

Julia Dailey led the Knights with nine kills.

Stetson will return home next weekend to face Jacksonville and UNF at the Edmunds Center.  It will be the final two home matches of the season for the Hatters, who will honor their seniors prior to the match on Saturday.
