Balanced Attack Lifts Hatters Past Jacksonville 3-1

Stetson clinches ASUN Championship berth

DeLand, Fla. -- Anabelle Standish, Elena Djokovic and Nyah Molina each recorded double-doubles as Stetson defeated Jacksonville 3-1 Friday night at the Edmunds Center.

The Hatters (12-12, 7-5 ASUN) won by scores of 25-17, 25-12, 21-25, 25-16 to clinch a spot in the 2021 ASUN Volleyball Championship.

Stetson hit .256 for the match while picking up 75 digs and nine blocks.

Standish led the offense with 15 kills and a .500 attack pct. (15-1-28). She added 12 digs and four blocks.

Djokovic registered 13 kills, 15 digs and four blocks. Molina tallied 43 assists and 17 digs for her eighth straight double-double.

Alejandra Perez led the back row with 21 digs.  Kaylee Oscarson registered six block assists and hit .417 for the match.

Stetson completed a season sweep of the Dolphins. Jenna McNamara led JU (4-20, 1-11) with 14 kills and 14 digs.

The Hatters will host UNF at 6 p.m. Saturday in the final home match of the season.  Stetson will honor seniors Madison Baynard, Lindsey Leipold and Alejandra Perez prior to the match.
