Hatters Set to Compete at ASUN Cross Country Championships

The Stetson men's and women's cross country teams will be compete at the 2021 ASUN Conference Championship Saturday morning at ESPN Wide World of Sports.

The men will run an 8K race at 7:40 am and the women will run a 5K race at 8:15 am.  The races will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Senior Tristen Montalvo has led the Hatter men in each of the team's three races this season.  At the 2020 ASUN Championship in March, Montalvo placed 10th overall and earned second team all-conference honors.

Sophomore Madison Niederriter has led the Hatter women in three of the team's four races this season.  On Oct. 12, Niederriter was named ASUN Runner of the Week while Cheyenne Durda was named ASUN Freshman of the Week.

For the first time since 2007, the ASUN Championship will feature 12 participating schools.  EKU and Central Arkansas will be competing for the first time while Jacksonville State returns to the league.
