Hatters return home to host Camels

DeLand, Fla. -- After a week-long road trip and then a week-long layoff, the Stetson University men's basketball team is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 27 as the Hatters get set to host the Campbell University Camels. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+. 
 
Recap
Stetson comes into Saturday afternoon's contest at .500 with a 2-2 record through four games. The Hatters opened the season in the Edmunds Center before hitting the road for three-straight games at Georgia Tech, Miami and then at Lamar. The Hatters fell to Tech 77-52, then dropped their game to the RedHawks 80-65, but topped Lamar 60-59 behind a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double and game-winning jumper from Rob Perry
 
Scouting the Camels
Campbell enters Saturday's matchup with a 4-1 overall record as the Camels come off a 67-65 win at Marshall back on Nov. 18 and then a 66-55 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 24. Their only loss was to No. 9 Duke on Nov. 13. 
 
The Camels offense is led by Cedric Henderson Jr.'s 13.5 points per game followed by Ricky Clemons' 11.0 points per game. As a team, Campbell has averaged 69.0 points per game through the team's first five games. The Camels shoot .284 (21-for-74-) from beyond the arc but shoot .455 (107-for-235) from the field, .50 points higher than their opponents. 
 
All-Time Series
Saturday's matchup between the Hatters and the Camels will be the 37th all-time meeting between the two schools. Stetson is 21-16 against Campbell but the Hatters have lost seven-straight to the Camels, with the last meeting coming back in 2017 as Campbell topped Stetson 85-78. 
 
Scouting the Hatters
Perry leads the Hatters offense as the junior averages 14.0 points per game while averaging 7.0 boards a game. Chase Johnston averages 12.8 points a game while boasting a .357 3-point percentage. As a team, the Hatters shoot .288 (30-for-104) from beyond the arc and .397 (91-for-229) from the field. 
 
Looking Ahead
After its matchup with Campbell, the Stetson hits the road again as the Hatters travel to Boca Raton to face Florida Atlantic on Wednesday, Dec. 1 and then to Miami to face Florida International on Saturday, Dec. 4. Tip-off for both games is at 7 p.m. and each game can be streamed on ESPN+.
