Hatters Edged by Kennesaw State

Kennesaw, Ga. -- In a tightly contested match, Lauren Chastang registered 14 kills and three aces to lead Kennesaw State to a 3-0 victory (25-23, 25-22, 30-28) over Stetson Friday night at the KSU Convocation Center.  

Despite the KSU sweep, all three sets came down to the wire.  Overall, the Hatters (12-14, 7-7 ASUN) scored 22 points or more in each frame and outhit Kennesaw State .237 to .215.  The third set (30-28) was Stetson's longest of the season.  The Owls (16-8, 10-3 ASUN) held an 8-3 advantage in service aces.

Elena Djokovic led the Hatter offense with 15 kills, while Kaylee Oscarson added nine kills to go along with a .389 attack pct.  

Nyah Molina continued her torrid pace, registering her 20th double-double of the season and her 10th in a row.  She collected 33 assists and 22 digs, marking her fourth 30-20 double-double of the season.

Alejandra Perez bolstered the back row with 17 digs, including her 400th of the season.  Kennedy Muldrow collected four blocks.

The Hatters will head to Lynchburg, Va. to face Liberty on Sunday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.  The Hatters can clinch the No. 4 seed in the East Division with a victory over the Flames.
