Hatters Fall to FIU, South Carolina

DeLand, Fla. -- Facing two Top 15 opponents for the second straight day, Stetson dropped a pair tightly contested duals Sunday afternoon at the Cooper Beach Courts.

The 11th-ranked Hatters fell 4-1 to No. 13 FIU and 3-2 to No. 14 South Carolina to close the Stetson Spring Fling with a 1-3 mark.

Against the Panthers, the Hatters received a 2-0 win at Pair 5 from Aleksandra Stadnik and Lauren Della.

Against the Gamecocks, Stetson earned a 2-1 victory at Pair 1 from Ana Costa and Carly Perales and a 2-0 victory at Pair 5 from Alicia Harrington and Lauren Domel.

The Hatters will return to action next weekend at the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Conway, S.C.
