Hatters Win Fourth Straight With 3-1 Win Over JU

Jacksonville, Fla. -- After playing their first seven matches at home, the Hatters got their first road test Wednesday night and passed with flying colors.

Elena Djokovic recorded a match-high 15 kills and Chelcie Spence picked up 23 digs as Stetson defeated Jacksonville 3-1 at Swisher Gym.

The Hatters (5-3, 4-3 ASUN) won by scores of 25-20, 25-20, 19-25, 25-17 to win their fourth in a row overall and third straight over Jacksonville.  

Stetson hit a season-high .301.

With her 23 digs, Spence became the first player in school history and 15th player in ASUN history (rally scoring era) to record 1500 career digs. 

Yamelis Mojica registered a season-high 14 kills and hit .500 while Kaylee Oscarson posted 11 kills and hit .417.  Naina Ivanova registered 43 assists and 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.  Alejandra Perez (14 digs) and Grace Asleson (11 digs) also recorded double digit dig totals.  Alexis Thompson collected five blocks.

The Hatters will visit FGCU for a two-game ASUN series beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.
