Hatters Fall in Three Sets to FGCU

Win Streak Halted at Four Games

Fort Myers, Fla. -- Erin Shomaker recorded 16 kills as FGCU defeated Stetson 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-22) in Game 1 of an ASUN series Friday night at Alico Arena.

The same two teams will meet again at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Kaylee Oscarson led the Hatters (5-4, 4-4 ASUN) with nine kills.  Naina Ivanova registered her fifth double-double of the season (17 assists, 10 digs). Chelcie Spence (12 digs) and Elena Djokovic (10 digs) also tallied double figures in digs.

The Eagles (9-2, 7-2 ASUN) collected eight blocks and hit .278 for the match.  Stetson posted a .108 attack pct.

The loss snapped the Hatters' four-game win streak.
