Preview
Winners of two straight and four out of six, the No. 5 seed Stetson Hatters (9-12) will face the No. 4 seed Lipscomb Lady Bisons (11-9) in the 2021 ASUN Conference Championship quarterfinal game Thursday afternoon in Marietta, Ga.  Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. ET with live coverage on ESPN+.

All-Time Series
Stetson leads the all-time series 27-10 over Lipscomb.  The Hatters have won 19 of the past 22 head-to-head matchups, but Lipscomb won both regular season meetings this season. The Hatters are 1-0 all-time vs. the Lady Bisons in ASUN postseason play (2015 ASUN quarterfinal).  The teams have never met on a neutral court.


ASUN Tournament Success
  • Stetson is making its 18th consecutive appearance in the ASUN tournament and 34th appearance all-time
  • Stetson has more ASUN tournament wins (29) than any other member past or present
  • Stetson has won the ASUN Championship four times (1989, 2005, 2011, 2013) and been to the NCAA Tournament three times (2005, 2011, 2013)
  • In the past 10 years, Stetson is 14-7 in the ASUN tournament with four finals appearances

Hatter Awards
Following a 16-point, 11-rebound, 8-block performance vs. Jacksonville on Saturday, senior Megan Vincent was named ASUN Conference Player of the Week on Monday.  On Tuesday, junior Yazz Wazeerud-Din earned ASUN second team all-conference honors.  Wazeerud-Din ranks fourth in the league in scoring (15.5 ppg), first in steals (49), first steals-per-game (2.3), first in free throw pct. (.844), and sixth in 3-pointers-per-game (2.1).  She has scored in double figures in 17 of 21 games overall, and in 14 of 16 ASUN games.  

Second Half Surge
The Hatters have really come on in the second half of the conference season. After going 2-6 in the first eight games, Stetson has won five of its last eight.  Defensively, opponents' field goal shooting has dropped from .436 to .380 and opponent scoring has dropped over 13 points-per-game from 72.8 to 59.6.  Offensively, Jamiya Turner (11.8 ppg) and Kiya Turner (15.1 ppg) have stepped up their scoring totals in the past eight games.

Streaking
  • Yazz Wazeerud-Din has hit a 3-point field goal in 13 straight games
  • Kiya Turner has scored in double figures in eight straight games
  • Megan Vincent has double-doubles in two straight games
  • Stetson has won 88 consecutive games when scoring 74 points or more (5-0 this season)
Under the Hat
  • Stetson ranks 69th in the NCAA in 3-pointers-per-game (7.3)
  • The Hatters are 6-1 when leading at the half and 7-1 when scoring 68 points or more
  • Opponents have outscored Stetson by 50 points in first halves this season, but Stetson has outscored its opponents by 38 points in second halves and overtimes
  • Megan Vincent is one of two players in school history with 700+ points, 600+ rebounds, 200+ blocks
  • Vincent is just 12 blocks shy of tying the school record
The Head Coach
Head Coach Lynn Bria is in her 13th season with the Hatters and 26th season overall. The all-time winningest coach in program history, Bria holds a Stetson record of 231-175 (.569).

Thursday winner advances to Friday's semifinal game at either 2 p.m. or 7 p.m.  The bracket will be shuffled following Thursday's play.
