Hatters Stay Red Hot, Sweep North Alabama and UNF

Stetson extends win streak to 8

Jacksonville, Fla. -- No. 14 Stetson extended its winning streak to eight in a row, posting 5-0 sweeps over ASUN foes North Alabama and North Florida Thursday afternoon at UNF's Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex.

The Hatters (9-3) won all 10 pairs matches and 20 of the 21 sets played over the two duals. In fact, Stetson's pairs are a combined 25-0 over the past five duals, all 5-0 sweeps.

ASUN Pair of the Week Carly Perales and Ana Costa took home a pair of 2-0 victories at Pair 1. Perales now has 93 career wins, just three shy of tying the school record.

Kamryn Johnson and Shae Henson notched back-to-back 2-0 victories at Pair 2. At Pair 3, Yasmin Kuck and Gabriella Bramante outlasted UNF's Lauren Galinis and Carleigh Semeniuk 21-6, 15-21, 22-20 in a wild three-set victory.

Pair 4's Alicia Harrington and Lauren Domel won 2-0, 2-0, as did Pair 5's Aleksandra Stadnik and Madison Bobes. Brittany McLean and Lauren Della also went 2-0, 2-0 at Pair 6.

The Hatters have won 42 straight duals against ASUN opponents and 72 of its last 73 duals against unranked opponents.

Stetson will now have a week of rest before gearing up for a showdown with No. 2 Florida State on March 19 in Boca Raton. That dual kicks off the FAU Beach Bash.
