Ana Costa, Carly Perales Named ASUN Pair of the Week

DeLand, Fla. -- Stetson beach volleyball seniors Ana Costa (Sergipe, Brazil) and Carly Perales (Round Rock, Texas) have been named ASUN Pair of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. It is the second weekly honor for the pair this season.

Costa and Perales went 3-1 at Pair 1 over the weekend at the FAU Beach Bash. They defeated the No. 1 Pair from top-ranked Florida State in straight sets on Friday, extending their win streak to 10 in a row. The duo also picked up wins against the top seeds from UAB and FGCU on Saturday. With the win over the Eagles, Perales tied the school and conference record with her 96th dual match victory and Costa recorded her 50th dual match victory.

Perales earns her seventh career Pair of the Week award, tying her with Darby Dunn for the school and ASUN conference record. Costa earns her third career weekly honor.

The 16th-ranked Hatters are 10-6 entering play on Wednesday.
