Preview
The Stetson Hatters (1-3) will make their first road trip of the season this weekend when they compete at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.  The tournament will be held at the Coastal Carolina Beach Volleyball Complex in Conway, S.C.  Live scoring will be available at Coastal.Statbroadcast.com.

The Schedule
The Hatters will meet the host Chanticleers, a team receiving votes in this week's Top 20 poll, at 8 a.m. Friday.  It will be the first dual of the season for Coastal Carolina.  Stetson and the College of Charleston will meet at noon.

On Saturday, Stetson and No. 13 South Carolina will have a rematch from Sunday's 3-2 affair in DeLand. That dual will begin at 8 a.m.  The Hatters will then face UNC Wilmington at noon.

In the Polls
Stetson is ranked 16th in the nation in this week's AVCA Beach Volleyball coaches poll. It is the Hatters' 53rd consecutive appearance in the AVCA poll.

Wins vs. Ranked opponents
Stetson has defeated six ranked opponents since the start of the 2020 season, including No. 15 TCU last weekend in DeLand.  

Wins vs. Unranked opponents
Stetson is 65-1 in its last 66 duals against unranked opponents

Wins vs. ASUN opponents
Stetson has won 37 straight matches against ASUN opponents, including all five meetings with Coastal Carolina.

Stroll Down Memory Lane
Stetson's first-ever dual came vs. the College of Charleston on March 8, 2012.  The Hatters won that match 3-2. The two teams will be meeting for the seventh time on Friday (Stetson leads 5-1).

The Stetson beach volleyball program is in its 10th season of competition.  The Hatters have an all-time record of 179-80.

Stetson will return home to host North Florida for a double dual on Tuesday.
