Hatters Roll Past Jacksonville to Complete Weekend Sweep

DeLand, Fla. -- Elena Djokovic and Kaylee Oscarson each recorded 10 kills as Stetson defeated Jacksonville 3-0 Saturday night at the Edmunds Center.

The Hatters (4-3, 3-3 ASUN) won by scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-19 to sweep the two-game weekend series. 

Oscarson hit a team-high .529, while fellow middle blocker Alexis Thompson had nine kills and hit .300. Naina Ivanova dished out 39 assists.

The Hatters may have improved on their Top 5 NCAA statistical ranking for digs by collecting 70 digs in just three sets. Chelcie Spence led the way with 24 digs, while Djokovic (15) and Alejandra Perez (12) also reached double figures.

Stetson has won three in a row and completes its regular season home schedule with a 4-3 mark.  The Dolphins fell to 2-8, 0-6.

The same two teams will play again at 6 p.m. Wednesday, this time in Jacksonville.
