Hatters Sweep UNF; Climb to No. 14 in the Polls

DeLand, Fla. -- Stetson won all 10 pairs matches and 20 of the 21 sets played in sweeping UNF 5-0 and 5-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Cooper Beach Courts.

Carly Perales recorded her 90th career win in Game 1, becoming the third player in school history to reach that milestone. She then surpassed her former partner Sunniva Helland-Hansen and moved into second place all-time with her 91st win in Game 2.

Rachel Noble is the school's all-time wins leader with 96.

The Hatters improved to 7-3 on the season and extended their win streak to six in a row. Stetson has also won 40 straight duals against ASUN opponents and 70 of its last 71 duals against unranked opponents.

UNF fell to 4-2.

Stetson began the day ranked No. 16 but moved up two spots to No. 14 in this week's AVCA Top 20 Coaches Poll. It is the Hatters' 54th consecutive appearance in the AVCA poll.

The Hatters will face the Ospreys again on Thursday along with North Alabama. Those two duals will take place in Jacksonville on UNF's campus beginning at 1 p.m.
