Hatters Close Out Regular Season at FGCU

The spring regular season comes to a close this weekend for Stetson men's soccer as they take on FGCU on the road, 7 p.m. Friday in Fort Myers.

The Hatters (0-4-2, 0-3-2 ASUN) will look to end the regular season on a high note after last weekend's 1-0 setback to UNF. The Hatters fell behind in the 7th minute of play and could not recover despite outshooting the Ospreys, 11-7.

When Stetson and FGCU met on March 19, the teams played to a scoreless draw in DeLand. Although the Eagles rank third in the ASUN in goals scored, the Hatters kept them off the board thanks in part to a solid debut from goalkeeper Jacob Gruber, who made ofur saves.

The Eagles (2-2-3, 2-1-2 ASUN) suffered a 3-0 loss to Jacksonville in their last match. FGCU has allowed the third-most goals in the ASUN this season.
