Hatters Head to Kennesaw for Crossover Weekend

Preview
The Stetson Hatters will play three ASUN North Division foes in the divisional crossover weekend at Kennesaw State's Bailey Park.  On Saturday, the Hatters will face Bellarmine at 2:30 p.m. and Lipscomb at 5 p.m.  On Sunday, Stetson will face Lipscomb again at 11 a.m. and Kennesaw State at 1:30 p.m.  The Kennesaw State game only will be streamed live on YouTube.

On the Road 
Stetson will be competing outside the the state of Florida for the first time since April 20, 2019 at Lipscomb.

On the Bases
The Hatters have stolen 49 bases in 22 games this season, an average of 2.2 steals-per-game. That total leads the ASUN and ranks 11th in the NCAA. The Hatters have two individuals in the top 15 nationally in steals per game: Riley Russell ranks sixth (0.91 steals-per-game) and Elizabeth Jackson ranks 13th (0.79 steals-per-game). Russell and Jackson rank second and third, respectively, in total steals in the ASUN with 20 and 15 steals.  Brianna Clary ranks eighth with 10 steals.

Streaking
Riley Russell has hit safely in eight straight games and has reached base safely in 17 of her last 18 games. Danielle Diaz has reached base safely in 13 of her last 15 games.  She is hitting .341 over that stretch. Brianna Clary is hitting .450 over her last six games. Marissa Baxter is hitting .316 over her last six games.  Lizzie Shubert is hitting .500 with two home runs over her last four games.


Career Leaders I
With her five home runs this season, senior Lizzie Shubert is tied for eighth all-time in school history with 20 career home runs.  Next up on the all-time list are Amanda Lindsey and Blake Hoorelbeke with 23 homers.  She is also 15th in school history with 80 RBI.

Career Leaders II
With her 64 career stolen bases, senior Riley Russell ranks seventh all-time in Stetson history.  She is 17 steals shy of tying Chrissy Morello for sixth all-time (81 steals).

The Head Coach
Stetson's Frank Griffin is in his 25th season as head coach of the Hatters and holds a school record of 759-542 (.583).  With 984 career victories in 32 seasons, Griffin ranks 26th on the all-time NCAA Division I wins list. He is 16 wins shy of the 1000-victory mark for his career.
