The Hatters (3-5) also defeated Prebyterian 3-2 in a five-set marathon Friday afternoon to go a perfect 2-0 on the first day of the GSU Invitational.

Mojica tied a career-high 14 kills vs. the Blue Hose then bested that mark with 15 kills vs. the Panthers.  She had the game-winning kill in both matches.

Stetson will go for the weekend sweep at 1 p.m. Saturday vs. Alcorn State.

Stetson def. Presbyterian 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 17-25, 15-11)

Playing their first five-set match of the season, the Hatters battled back from an 8-5 deficit in the final frame to defeat Presbyterian.

Anabelle Standish got the comeback started with a pair of kills during a 4-0 run that gave the Hatters a 9-8 lead.  The Blue Hose took the next two points to regain a 10-9 advantage.  However, the Hatters tallied five of the next six points to seal the victory.  Lindsey Leipold served back-to-back aces and Mojica buried the game-winner to give Stetson a tournament-opening win.

Mojica finished with 14 kills and nine digs. Standish added 11 kills while Alexis Thompson hit .417 (8-0-17).  Nyah Molina registered her fifth double-double of the season, recording with 34 assists and 14 digs.  Alejandra Perez led the back row with 23 digs.  Kaylee Oscarson tallied five block assists.
