Hatters Drop 3-0 Decision to New Mexico State

DeLand, Fla. -- New Mexico State completed a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Stetson Invitational with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-19) victory over Stetson Saturday morning at the Edmunds Center.

The Aggies (9-3) won all nine sets in their wins over USF, Bethune-Cookman and Stetson.

In Saturday's match, the Hatters (4-7) hit .192 overall, including .257 in each of the final two sets.  Elena Djokovic led the way with nine kills, while middles Kaylee Osacarson and and Alexis Thompson added eight and seven kills apiece.

Nyah Molina registered her sixth straight double-double with a 23-assist, 13-dig effort.  She also registered one solo block.  Alejandra Perez picked up 11 digs.  

Shaney Lipscomb led New Mexico State with 15 kills.

The Hatters will be back on the court at 6 p.m. this evening to face Bethune-Cookman in the final match of the Stetson Invitational.
