Hatters set to face first-year ASUN member, Eastern Kentucky

DeLand, Fla. -- The Stetson University women's soccer team gets set for its second ASUN Conference match as the Hatters take on first-year ASUN member, Eastern Kentucky on Sunday, Sept. 26 at the ATC. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Admission is $5.00 or free with a Stetson University ID.

Recap
The Hatters come off a 1-0, double overtime win over Bellarmine University in their ASUN Conference opener on Thursday night at home behind a golden goal from sophomore Alexa LoBasso.

After 90 minutes could not decide a winner, the Hatters and the Knights went scoreless into the first overtime but still neither offense could find the back of the opposition's net. Five minutes into the second overtime, Lea Alexander found LoBasso in the Bellarmine box and she promptly netted the game-winner off a single touch.

Scouting the Colonels
Eastern Kentucky comes off two straight losses as the Colonels fell 2-0 to Miami University back on Sept. 17 and then fell 2-0 again to Florida Gulf Coast in their ASUN opener back on Sept. 23.

Michaela Iacono is tied for the EKU team lead in goals with two and leads the Colonels in assists with four. Nerea de Diego, Hope Evans and Ali Kirk all have two goals each for the Colonels. EKU currently sits at 4-5 on the season and 0-1 in ASUN play.

All-Time Series
The Hatters lead the all-time series 1-0 against Eastern Kentucky with the only meeting between the two teams coming back in 2005, before EKU was a member of the ASUN.
