Tatiana Streun Named ASUN Newcomer of the Week

hatter forward averages 18.0 points and 6.5 boards

Atlanta -- Stetson women's basketball graduate forward Tatiana Streun (Bellevue, Wash.) has been named ASUN Newcomer of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. It is her second Newcomer of the Week award this season and the fourth weekly award for the Hatters.

Streun averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in a pair of games last week. She tallied 14 points behind 3-for-5 shooting from the arc Wednesday at Jacksonville. Streun then scored a game-high 22 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the floor Saturday vs. Kennesaw State. She added six rebounds and three steals against the Owls while extending her double figure scoring streak to six games.  

For the week, Streun shot 54 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the arc. She currently ranks second in the ASUN in conference play in scoring (18.0 ppg).

Stetson (8-9, 1-3 ASUN) will host 21st-ranked FGCU at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
