Hatters set to host Stetson Challenge at Cooper Beach

DeLand, Fla. -- The Stetson University beach volleyball team is set to host the Stetson Challenge this weekend beginning with a dual against North Alabama on Friday, March 18 at 8:00 a.m. at Cooper Beach. 
 
The Hatters are fresh off their Stetson Sun-N-Sand Invitational that saw No. 4 FSU and No. 2 USC visit DeLand. The Hatters went 1-4 in the weekend tournament and look to rebound in the Stetson Challenge. 
 
Along with North Alabama, the Hatters will host Florida Gulf Coast, North Florida, and Palm Beach Atlantic.
 
The Hatters currently sit at 5-7 on the year and have been led by two-time ASUN Pair of the Week honorees Shae Henson and Kylie Neuschaeferova as Stetson's No. 1 pair earned the weekly award for the second time in three weeks. The pair claimed wins over No. 12 FAU in the No.2 position and then a three-set victory over FSU in the No. 1 position. 
 
A week after the Hatters host the Stetson Challenge, the Stetson beach squad will host the Stetson Beach Bash for their final home tournament of the season.
