Hatters travel to FSU for Unconquered Invitational

Tallahassee, Fla. -- The Stetson University beach volleyball squad heads to Florida State University for the FSU Unconquered Invitational beginning on Friday, April 8, as the Hatters square off against No. 2 TCU, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, No. 5 LSU, and No. 4 Florida State. Stetson's first dual is set for Friday at 9:30 a.m. against the Horned Frogs.

The Hatters come off one of their best weekends of the season as Stetson went 3-1 at the Carolina Challenge against UAB, No. 14 at the time, South Carolina, Jacksonville, and UNC Wilmington. After the Hatters dropped their first dual to the Blazers, Stetson battled back and defeated the Gamecocks 3-2 then shutout both the Dolphins and the Eagles 5-0 for their second three-dual win streak since Stetson went 4-0 to open the season.

Stetson remained at No. 19 in the latest AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Poll as the Hatters win streak brought them back to .500 on the year at 12-12. This weekend's tournament will be the Hatters most difficult as Stetson will face three of the top-five programs in the country.

Junior Shae Henson and freshman Kylie Neuschaeferova come off their third ASUN Pair of the Week honors as the pair went 3-1 and rattled off wins in six straight sets. The win over South Carolina was the pair's seventh win over a ranked team this season. It is the third time this year the Hatters have earned the honor and 37th all-time.

After the Hatters compete at the FSU Unconquered Invitational, Stetson heads to Jacksonville on Wednesday, April 13 for a doubleheader against North Florida starting at 10 a.m.
