Will Conclude Fall Season at Daniel Island Intercollegiate

CHARLESTON, SC - Following a triumphant victory at the USF Invitational, the Stetson Hatters are back in action, looking to continue their winning ways. Coach Danny Forshey, carrying an impressive track record thus far this season, leads the team into the upcoming Daniel Island Intercollegiate in Charleston, S.C.

The Challenge Ahead: The tournament will take place from October 29-31 on the Ralston Creek Course at the Daniel Island Club, boasting a Par 72 layout spanning an expansive 7332 yards, and will play 18 holes each day.

Setting the Bar High: Stetson's last victory marked a significant milestone, securing Coach Forshey's 3rd win at Stetson and 22nd of his career. Their consistent excellence was on full display as they clinched impressive finishes in each competition, having finished within the top three in every tournament so far.

Dazzling Performances: The team's impressive show last outing was highlighted by Truman Keppy's record-setting round of 64 to begin the tournament. Dominic Clemons and John Houchin also made impactful contributions, securing commendable T14th and T17th positions with scores of -3 and -2, respectively.

Clemons and Houchin showcased their continued prowess with standout rounds, including Clemons' impressive 66 in the second round and Houchin's stellar 68 in the opening round.

This performance comes after Clemons led the way with an outstanding T2 overall finish at -13, boasting a three-round total of 203, to lead Stetson to a third place finish in the VCU Shootout.

Looking Ahead: With a successful start under their belt, the Hatters will gear up for their next challenge. Although, they will have a few months between competitions with the World Golf Village Collegiate at King & Bear Golf Course awaiting them in February.
