Albuquerque, N.M. – Stetson men's golf wrapped up the William H. Tucker Invitational with a 14th-place team finish at +5. The Hatters stayed competitive throughout the three-round event, highlighted by strong individual efforts and clutch scoring.
Graduate Matthis Lefèvre led the squad, carding a 216 (+0) to finish tied for 44th. Lefèvre recorded two eagles and posted a final-round 69 (-3) to move up the leaderboard. Senior Gaspar Glaudas also tied for 44th at even-par 216, contributing 16 birdies, which tied him for third most in the tournament.
Junior Simon Engman rallied in round two with a 68 (-4) after an opening 73 (+1), finishing tied for 55th at 218 (+2). Senior Rasmus Ronnberg ended the week at 220 (+4) with two eagles and 37 pars, tying him for fifth most in the field, while senior Jackson Hicks completed the lineup at 230 (+14).
The Hatters' scoring included multiple eagles from Lefèvre and Rönnberg and consistent play from Glaudas, keeping them competitive in a field led by Long Beach State at -23.
Stetson returns to action at the West Bay Collegiate, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University at West Bay Golf Club in Estero, Fla., Oct. 6–7.
