Lefèvre Completes Second Round At NCAA Regionals

ATHENS, Ga. -- Stetson University men's golfer Matthis Lefèvre turned in a 2-over par 73 today and sits in a tie for 39th place after the first two rounds of the NCAA Athens Regional at the University of Georgia Golf Course.

After 36 holes, the 2026 ASUN Men's Golfer of the Year, who earned an at-large berth into the regional, is at 1-over par with scores of 70-73. Vanderbilt's Will Hartman leads the 75-golfer field at 12-under, one stroke ahead of Malan Potgieter from Louisiana. In the team competition, Vanderbilt leads the field at 22-under par, three strokes ahead of Louisville and eight ahead of top-seeded Auburn.

The field returns to competition tomorrow for the tournament's final round with the top individual not on one of the five advancing teams qualifying for the NCAA Championships later this month at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.

A native of Hossegor, France, Lefèvre posted two birdies, 12 pars and four bogeys in today's second round. After going 2-over on the front nine, he recovered to birdie two of the first three holes after making the turn. Bogeys on hole nos. 14 and 16 pushed his final score back to 2-over for the day.

Lefèvre is scheduled to return to the course for the tournament's final round at 10:12 a.m. off hole no. 1. He is paired with Francisco Perez of Howard University and Erik Olin from UAB.
