Women's Tennis to Host 5th Annual Stetson Invite

DELAND, FLA - Stetson women's tennis will be hosting the 5th annual Stetson Invite this weekend at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Complex.

"It is always great to host our fall tournament . This is a great warmup for the spring season. It's as close as it gets to that team feeling of supporting each other during the season. It will be a fun and exciting weekend!" said Stetson head coach Travis Sandlant. 

This years invite with be the 5th annual and feature teams from across the state of Florida as well as the Sun Belt Conference,  Missouri Valley Conference and the ASUN. The competition will be tough for the Hatters as the 2023 SWAC Champion FAMU Rattlers will compete as well as Troy who was 6-5 in the Sun Belt Conference last spring and Saint Leo who finished 6-3 in the Sunshine State Conference.  Along with the previous mentioned teams the Hatters will play host to Murray State, Bethune-Cookman, and fellow ASUN member Kennesaw State.

The Stetson Invite will span across three days of play that will commence on Friday morning at 9:00AM.The format for the tournament will be a hidden dual tournament. FAMU and Bethune-Cookman will be competing together due to the number of student-athletes. The schedule of matches is shown below:

Friday November 3rd
9:00AM: Stetson vs. Troy. (4 doubles followed by and 8 singles)
12:00PM: KSU vs. Murray State. (4 doubles followed by and 8 singles)
3:00PM: FAMU/ Bethune-Cookman vs. Saint Leo (4 doubles followed by 8 singles)
 
 
Saturday November 4th
9:00AM: Stetson VS Murray State
12:00PM: KSU VS Saint Leo (4 doubles followed by and 8 singles)
3:00PM: FAMU/Bethune-Cookman VS Troy (4 doubles followed by 6 singles)
 
Sunday November 5th
8:00AM: KSU VS Troy (4 doubles followed by 8 singles)
10:30AM: Murray State VS FAMU/Bethune-Cookman (4 Doubles followed by 8 singles)
1:00PM: Stetson VS Saint Leo (doubles followed by singles)
