The Lead
Looking to put their regular season loss to North Florida behind them, the Hatters will take on Lipscomb in the first round of the ASUN Volleyball Championship in Fort Myers. Their rematch from earlier this season will take place on Thursday, Nov. 16 at noon.

History
These two programs have faced off 33 times with the most recent having occurred on Oct. 13 this year. In that match up the Hatters were able to take the first set but dropped the next three. The teams first played Sept. 23, 2001 with the Hatters taking the inaugural game 3-0.

Scouting the Hatters (13-15, ASUN 8-8)
The Stetson Volleyball team has showcased an up and down season. This past weekend they were able to clinch a spot in the ASUN Volleyball Championship by defeated Jacksonville in a five-set thriller, 3-2. Going into Sunday there were several teams jockeying for seeding in the Championship. The Hatters would ultimately earn the 7th seed after falling to North Florida 0-3.

Taking a peek at the statistics from the last match up Anabelle Standish led the team with 12 kills followed by Selin Kalkan with nine. Nyah Molina tallied up 28 assists to lead the team. Defensively Amaris Carter led the team in digs with 12 while Sophia Groom was the leader in blocks with three. The Hatters will have to be on top of their blocking and force the Bison to make errors as that was how they won the first set in their last matchup.

Over the course of the season Standish tallied 374 kills which was fourth best in the conference. Molina finished with over 859 assists and 305 digs giving her over 1000 digs over her career. Haruka Sugimoto led the team in digs with 443 and Sophia Groom totaled 119 blocks which was the second most in the conference.

Scouting the Bisons (19-7, ASUN 14-2)
The Bison finished with the second-best record in the ASUN only behind FGCU. When the Bisons visited DeLand the statistic that sticks out was their 10 service aces over four sets. They were also able to cut down on their errors and improve their hitting percentage.

Lipscomb is led by Meg Mersman in kills with 300 and is followed by Jasa DiVita who has 298. Sophia Hudepohl leads the conference in assists with 1092, averaging 10.5 per set. Lipscomb, number one in service aces, comes into the match with 201; Delaney Smith has 61 of these aces.

Up Next
Should the Hatters win the first round of the ASUN Championship, they will advance to the Semifinals and take on the winner of EKU vs UNF. The Semifinals match will be at 4:00pm on Friday, Nov. 17.
