DeLand, Fla - Stetson hosted the DeLand Double Duals with Drake, Jacksonville, Embry-Riddle and Colgate Saturday morning.
Unfortunately the DeLand Double Duals did not quite live up to its' name today as all duals were condensed to a single race due to the impending shift in winds.
The Stetson men's team finished with a victory in the varsity pair with a time of 7:49.3, while in the varsity eight the Hatters finished in third out of five with a time of 5:56.9, just behind Jacksonville and winner Colgate.
"The beauty of training in DeLand is that so many teams come to us during their spring break to train, giving us an opportunity to race a variety of programs. We're grate ful Colgate was able to be here to race. along with Jacksonville and Embry-Riddle," said Stetson head coach
Jamie Francis. "Our men performed well, especially in the pair. The men have been making good improvements over the past several weeks, and with our first race in the books, we've got a good look at our top competitors."

"We're grateful Drake was able to be here to race, along with Jacksonville and Embry-Riddle. Our women performed well today.
