Box Score DeLand – Fla. Stetson lost a tough match Monday morning to Louisiana Tech 2-5.
LA Tech took the first doubles match,
Nadejda Maslova and
Cheri Darley won the second doubles match 6-3. The doubles point came down to
Noa Cohen and
Anais Gabriel who fell 4-6 as the Bulldogs scored the point.
The Hatters went down 3 points in singles as
Anais Gabriel (2-6,2-6),
Nadejda Maslova (3-6,4-6), and Noah Cohen (6-7,5-7) all came up short.
Darley was able to get the singles win 7-6,6-3 and
Alanna DiFrancesco was able to get a win for the Hatters 6-3,7-6,6-3.
"We definitely have higher standards, that we set for ourselves as a team. We did not live up to those today and that was the difference in the match," head coach
Travis Sandlant said. "We are going to work hard to clean it up."
The Hatters will return to action at home at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Complex on Friday, March 17 at 12:00PM.
