Box Score Nashville, Tenn. – Stetson (15-6, 5-1) defeated Lipscomb (8-10, 3-3) on the road 6-1.
Stetson would win the doubles point as Pilar Harper and
Cheri Darley would win on court three 6-2. On court two
Noa Cohen and
Anais Gabriel would secure the doubles point for the Hatters as they won 6-2.
Lipscomb would pick up their first and final point of the day on court one in singles as
Alanna DiFrancesco fell 4-6, 3-6.
Cheri Darley would get the first win for Stetson in singles on court three 6-2, 7-5. Court five would finish next, which saw
Magdalena Hedrzak win 6-2, 6-4.
Noa Cohen would follow with a win on court four 6-3, 6-2 making the match score 4-1 in favor of Stetson.
Pilar Harper and
Anais Gabriel would get the final two singles points. Harper would win on court six 6-2, 6-4. Gabriel would win a 3-set match on court two 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
"Good bounce back today. The conditions again were extremely tough. I don't think either team has played in this type of wind. Both battled well," said Stetson head coach
Travis Sandlant. "We are looking forward to a challenge again against Liberty and then celebrating our seniors on Saturday."
The Hatters head home to finish out the regular season starting with Liberty on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
