Hatters Split with FIU, St. Thomas

Stadnik, Della go 2-0 on the day

Miami, Fla. -- No. 18 Stetson fell 4-1 to No. 12 FIU Friday morning before bouncing back with a 5-0 win over St. Thomas at the FIU Beach Volleyball Courts.

With the split, the Hatters improved to 17-13 on the season with two more regular season duals to play.

Stetson's lone win against the Panthers (16-14) came at the 4s where Lauren Della and Aleksandra Stadnik won 21-13, 21-19.

Against the Bobcats, the Hatters won all five matches and all 10 sets. Shae Henson and Karin Zolnercikova won 21-16, 21-12 at the 1s, Gabriella Bramante and Tori Clement won 21-9, 21-8 at the 2s, Kennedy Warren and Carolina Ferraris won 21-9, 21-10 at the 3s, Della and Stadnik won 21-13, 21-19 at the 4s, and Audrey Gauthier and Noelle Weintraub won 21-10, 21-8 at the 5s.

The Hatters will travel north to Boca Raton to face No. 15 FAU and St. Thomas once again on Saturday.
