Women's Tennis Runner-Up in NIT Tournament

Hatters Fall 0-4 to TCU in NIT Championship

Box Score Peachtree City, GA – Stetson (20-9) comes up short of an NIT Championship, falling to #45 TCU (16-9) 0-4.
 
The Horned Frogs took the doubles point to start the match. Cheri Darley and Alanna DiFrancesco fell on court one 3-6. On court three, Magdalena Hedrzak and Pilar Astigarraga Harper  would come up short 3-6, surrendering the doubles point to TCU.
 
In singles play, Alanna DiFrancesco lost 2-6, 0-6 to make the overall score 2-0 in favor of TCU. On court three Cheri Darley would finish next coming up short 3-6, 3-6. Magdalena Hedrzak would finish on court five 2-6, 4-6 surrendering the final point to the Horned Frogs as they would win the overall match 4-0.

"Came up a little short today. We gave it our all. TCU were strong and we ran out of gas. We had a great run and a terrific season. One we can hold our heads up about," Stetson head coach Travis Sandlant.

This Stetson tennis team secured their spot in history by having the second most wins all time with 20 and earning two runner-up finishes in the ASUN Championship and NIT Championship.
