Bracket Announced for ASUN Softball Championship

Hatters to Face Austin Peay at 3 p.m. Tuesday

DeLand, Fla. – The field and bracket are set for the 2023 ASUN Softball Championship this week at Patricia Wilson Field.

The sixth-seeded Stetson Hatters (28-27) will host the seventh-seeded Austin Peay Governors (26-22) at 3 p.m. Tuesday in a win-or-go-home play-in game.  The winner will advance to the double-elimination portion of the bracket to face Jacksonville State at 3 p.m. Wednesday.  The tournament continues through Saturday with the champion earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAAs.

Stetson is hosting for the first time since 2018 and seeking its first title since 2014.  It will be the sixth ASUN Championship played at Patricia Wilson Field.

Regular season champion Central Arkansas is the No. 1 seed in the field, while two-time defending champion Liberty is the 2 seed.  Only the top eight of the league's 14 teams qualified for the championship.

Tournament passes are $85 for reserved seats and $55 for general admission and can be purchased online at GoHatters.com/tix.  Single day passes will be available for purchase starting Monday and are $20 for reserved seats and $12 for general admission.

All games from the tournament will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Stetson and Austin Peay will be meeting for the first-ever time as conference foes. In their only previous meeting, the two teams split a doubleheader in DeLand back in 2010.
