DeLand, Fla- The Stetson University women's soccer team opens its 2023 season at home Thursday evening as the Hatters host the University of Miami. Kickoff is set for 5pm.
 
Stetson comes off two preseason exhibition matches in which the Hatters played the University of South Florida and Florida Atlantic. 
 
Scouting the Canes
Miami finished the 2022 season with a record of 5-8-3. The Hurricanes return midfielder Lauren Meeks who led the team in scoring last year. 
 
When Last We Met
The Hatters last took on the Hurricanes on September 12, 2019, down in Miami.
 
Returners and Newcomers
Stetson returns 21 players from its roster a year ago while adding nine new faces to the program. Among the returners for the Hatters is Anna Brethauer, Chloe Washington, Sarah Grimmett, and Ashleigh Wise.
 
Up Next
Stetson will take on Air Force in DeLand on Saturday, Aug. 20. Kickoff is set for 1pm.
 
Tickets
Tickets for all home games are $5. Gates will open one hour prior to each match.
