Box Score STATESBORO, GA- The Hatters finished off the Eagle Invitational with a 2-1 record. Stetson started the tournament yesterday displaying great volleyball as they defeated both College of Charleston and George Washington in three sets at Hanner Fieldhouse.

Yang Deng. "We need to learn how to be consistent throughout and continue to learn to have more connections as we continue into the season"Â
Today the Hatters took on the Georgia Southern Eagles that ended in a three-set loss. In all three sets the Hatters were able to put some pressure on the Eagles. The Eagles were able to create leads, however the Hatters would steal some momentum and close the gap even overtaking the Eagles at times.

Haruka Sugimoto could be seen all over the floor for the Hatters diving for digs to help get the team back in the game. Over the three sets Sugimoto totaled 14 digs.
Sophia Groom was the lone double-digit Hatter in kills with 10 followed by
Anabelle Standish with eight and
Amaris Carter with seven.

Throughout the tournament Molina tallied 74 assists and 34 digs. Groom was second on the team with 28 kills and led the team in total blocks. Sugimoto finished the weekend with 46 digs and added twelve assists. Standish led the team with 38 kills while tallying 27 digs.
Amaris Carter totaled 24 kills, 22 digs, and 4 total blocks through nine sets. Mueller gave her team some sparks through the three games as she earned 11 kills and 4 total blocks.Â
