DELAND, Fla. - Stetson University's baseball team is gearing up for an action-packed fall season with two high-profile games scheduled to take place this autumn.

"We're truly excited to kick things off as a team," said Head Coach Steve Trimper. "This group is carrying a chip on its shoulder and we're eager to get the fall slate of games underway."

The Hatters will kick off their fall schedule with a home game on October 28 at Melching Field against the University of South Florida, with the first pitch set for 2:00 PM.

Following this exciting opener, the Hatters will hit the road for a thrilling matchup against the University of Florida on November 5 at 2:00 PM. This clash promises to be a battle between two of the most prominent collegiate baseball programs in the Sunshine State, and Stetson fans are encouraged to make the trip to support their team.

But the excitement doesn't stop with these games. Fall practice is officially underway, commencing on October 9 and continuing until November 16 with all practice sessions open to the public. This is an opportunity for fans, families, and baseball enthusiasts to get an up-close look at the Hatters' preparation for the upcoming season. Attendees can witness the dedication, hard work, and skill-building that go into shaping a winning team.

Stetson Baseball is coming off an impressive 35-23 record last season, marking their most successful season since 2018. In 2018, the team achieved a remarkable 48-13 record, clinching an NCAA Regional victory and making an appearance in the NCAA Super Regional—a testament to their determination and excellence on the field.

As the Hatters gear up for the fall season, Coach Trimper and the entire Stetson Baseball team are excited to showcase their talent, dedication, and passion for the game. They invite fans and supporters to join them on this journey as they build momentum towards a promising season.

"It's always nice when you get to face two in-state ball clubs," said Trimper. "Each team poses a great challenge for us, and we can't wait to see our hometown fans in Deland on October 28th."
