Florence, Ala. – Stetson is coming off back to back conference victories over Austin Peay and Lipscomb. The win over Austin Peay was a thriller as neither team was able to separate themselves from the other. In the game against Lipscomb the Hatters kept their foot on the gas the entire game outscoring the Bisons by over 20 points. 
 
History
Stetson has played North Alabama 10 times, going 8-2 in those games. The teams most recently faced off on February 2, 2023 with the Hatters coming out on top 79-57. They first meeting took place on January 19, 2019. Stetson and Central Arkansas have faced off three times with Stetson going 1-2. The first meeting between the two took place on February 5, 2022. The most recent game was on February 4, 2023 in DeLand with the Hatters coming out on top 99-80. 
 
Scouting the Hatters (13-9, ASUN 5-2)
Stetson is tied for second in the Atlantic Sun at 5-2 following their weekend sweep. Jalen Blackmon leads the team in scoring averaging 20.6 points per game. Even though his shooting percentages have dipped he is still in the top 10 in the ASUN in field goal and three point shooting percentage while leading the conference in free throw shooting. Blackmon is also 8 points away from reaching the 1000 points milestone. Stephan Swenson continues to command the floor as he has tallied 141 assists while averaging 12 points per game. He tallied his second double-double of the season in the win over Austin Peay. Swenson is also coming up to the 1000 point milestone as he needs 88 points to reach it. Aubin Gateretse leads the Hatters with 6.8 rebounds followed by Josh Smith with 5.0. Alec Oglesby is shooting lights out recently as he averaged 16 points over his last two games. In those two games he is shooting 57% from the field, and 46.3% from three. He was the player that iced the game for the Hatters against Austin Peay as he hit a layup to put them up four with 2.8 seconds left. 

Stetson is shooting 46.4% from the field and 37.2% from beyond the arc. The team is averaging 9.7 three points made per game which reflects in their average points per game of 76.8. The team has a 5.8 scoring margin by holding opponents to 71 points per game.  

Scouting the Lions (9-12, ASUN 3-4)
North Alabama is coming off wins over Kennesaw State and Queens. They won both games by a score of 90-84. Jacari Lane leads the Lions offense, averaging 15.1 points per game while also leading the team in assists and steals. He is followed closely by KJ Johnson who is averaging 14.6 points per game. Damian Forrest has the team lead in rebounds averaging 8.5 rebounds per game. As a team the Lions average 77.6 points per game while shooting 44% from the field, 36.3% from beyond the arc and 75% from the free throw line.
 
Scouting the Bears (8-15, ASUN 4-3)
Central Arkansas is coming off a 1-1 weekend where they fell to Queens before beating Kennesaw State. Tucker Anderson leads the Bears in scoring as he averages 14.6 points per game. Ubongabasi Etim protects the paint for the Bears, averaging 7.9 rebounds per game and totaling a team leading 26 blocks. As a team, Central Arkansas averages 73.7 points per game while shooting 42% from the field, 34.5% from beyond the arc, and 73.7% from the free throw line.

The Hatters will wrap up their road-trip in Kentucky, where they will take on Bellarmine. That game will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 6:30pm.
