Nashville, Tenn. – Stetson Volleyball fell to Lipscomb Saturday afternoon in three sets.
The Hatters dropped the first set 25-9 before battling in the second set but dropping it as well 25-18.
The third set for Stetson started differently. They took an early 5-4 lead on a three-point scoring run including an ace and kill from
Selin Kalkan. Lipscomb retook the lead, but the Hatters continued to battle, working to close the gap. The Hatters would fall in the third set 25-21 and in the match 3-0.
Kayla Balfour led the way for the Hatters with six kills and three total blocs.
Elif Yasar tallied 14 assists to lead the team. Defensively,
Haruka Sugimoto led the team in digs with nine.
Up next for the Hatters is a road match against Queens on Friday, November 1. That match will begin at 6:00pm.
