The Stetson Beach Volleyball team (7-3) went 1-1 on the first day of the Long Beach Invitational defeating Santa Clara 4-1 before falling to #9 Long Beach 0-5. 
 
Stetson started off the day against Santa Clara winning 4-1. Pair 1, Shae Henson and Tori Clement won in three sets 21-14, 15-21, 15-8. Carolina Ferraris and Audrey Gauthier were the second pair and won 21-19, 21-16. Third pair of Klea Sirois and Vanessa Hurnikova were victorious in three sets 19-21, 21-10, 15-5. Pair 5, Hanna Gubik and Kiki Drozd won their matchup 21-15, 21-19. Lauren Della and Alina Urzua were the fourth pair, and they dropped their point in three sets 21-19, 19-21, 16-14. 
 
Saturday afternoon the Hatters took on Long Beach falling 5-0. Ferraris and Gauthier were on court one dropping this one 18-21, 19-21. Clement and Henson on court two fell in three sets 17-21, 21-17, 10-15.
Della and Urzua were on court three also falling in three sets 21-15, 17-21, 15-10. The fourth pairing of Hurnikova and Sirois fell 18-21, 11-21 and fifth pair Drozd and Gubik fell 19-21, 18-21. 
 
The Hatters will take on #11 Cal Poly at 9am and #6 Loyola Marymount to close out the Long Beach Invitational.
